Wigan Warriors head coach Adrian Lam was left beaming with pride as his side stopped the rot after three straight defeats with a 22-0 win at play-off rivals Castleford Tigers.
The Warriors had even failed to score a try in their last two outings but this hard-earned success had Lam roaring with delight.
Jackson Hastings opened the scoring from close range and speedy winger Liam Marshall doubled Wigan’s advantage on the hour with a long-range effort.
Tries from Oliver Gildart and Brad Singleton in the final quarter wrapped up a win which saw Castleford nilled for only the second time at home in the Super League era.
