Carrie Underwood sung “America the Beautiful” during the inauguration of Donald Trump on Monday, performing it a capella after a tech glitch over the piped-in music couldn’t be resolved.
The eight-time Grammy winner, the first among the musical performers to be announced ahead of Inauguration Weekend, was introduced following Trump’s swearing-in as the 47th President of the United State and his speech.
There was about a two-minute pause after Underwood was introduced, with the singers standing stage left across the podium from Trump and Vice President J.D.
