Carrie is becoming a TV series. Director Mike Flanagan and Stephen King are collaborating on an 8-episode series for Amazon, according to Deadline. Brian De Palma was the first to adapt the novel about a young sheltered girl with a domineering mother whose bullying caused carnage with her hidden hyperkinetic powers. Sissy Spacek played the title character.
The movie was followed by 2002′s The Rage: Carrie 2, and a 2013 remake that starred Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.
