Carol Vorderman has quelled the rumours surrounding Joe Lycett's surprising baby news after fans suspected his big reveal was just a gag.

Comedy star Joe, who once hilariously changed his name to Hugo Boss, caused quite the stir amongst his followers this past Friday.

He shared an adorable picture on his Instagram in which he's seen cradling a tiny tot in a park, claiming he'd entered the world of parenthood.

Many fans on social media are believing his latest post is another ruse for his Channel Four show, Late Night Lycett. Joe has previously owned up to being the genius behind several phony news tales, including a man with a bruise in the shape of Prince Harry and a statue of H from Steps being erected in his home town of Cowbridge in Wales.
