Prolific Mexican actress and politician Carmen Salinas died in Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City on Thursday at the age of 82.The celebrated figure - who also worked as a comedienne and theatre entrepreneur - had suffered a stroke one month ago that was so severe she had to be placed in a medically induced coma.The busy star had been in the middle of filming a telenovela (soap opera) in Mexico when her health collapsed.Salinas' family had shared the news of her death with fans via Twitter and Instagram soon after her passing.
