Zack Sharf Digital News Director Carey Mulligan revealed at the Variety Studio presented by Audible at Sundance that she “just started” filming the second season of Netflix’s series “Beef.” The first season won Emmys for leading stars Steven Yeun and Ali Wong, so anticipation is high for the new episodes.
The show’s second season will feature a new storyline and an entirely new cast, headlined by Mulligan, Oscar Isaac (with whom she starred in the Coen Bros.’ “Inside LLewyn Davis”), Charles Melton and Cailee Spaeny. “We just started.
Almost everything [is different],” Mulligan told Variety’s Tatiana Seigel when asked about the new season. “But it’s still [creator Lee Sung Jin] being brilliant.
It’s a completely new story and if I say anything else then a laser beam will appear on my head. But it’s very exciting.” Another project Mulligan can’t talk about is Emerald Fennell’s “Wuthering Heights,” starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi.
