Cardi B's new single WAP heavily censored on radio amid "filthy" lyrics

Its graphic lyrics contain such “outrageous filth”, attempts to censor them have been likened to a task on the Crystal Maze.

So UK radio bosses have been scratching their heads over playing rappers Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion’s new single WAP – an acronym it’s probably best we don’t elaborate on – which is set to chart around the Top 5 this Friday.

A heavily sanitised version received a play on BBC’s Radio 1 chart update on Sunday. So many rude words were masked, host Katie Thistleton said it consisted mainly of “dings and bleeps”. “The team had a right job on their hands censoring this.
