Cara Delevingne has spoken out about what Pride means to her, admitting she never felt the need to ‘come out’ as pansexual. The model and actress, who recently split from girlfriend Ashley Benson, came out in 2018 but says she didn’t feel a need to label her sexuality.
She told Variety: ‘I never thought I needed to come out. It was just kind of like, “This is who I am. Just so you know.”’ Despite initially calling herself ‘sexually fluid’, Cara thinks the term pansexual is what best describes her.
She added: ‘I always will remain, I think, pansexual. However one defines themselves, whether it’s ‘they’ or ‘he’ or ‘she,’ I fall in love with the person – and that’s that.
