A car heading on the M62 towards Manchester on Wednesday flipped over and landed on the OTHER side of the carriageway. Police raced to the scene and closed off the busy road after the crash, which involved three vehicles, with the driver of the flipped car narrowly escaping with just minor injuries.

The incident caused the motorway to be closed off on the westbound carriageway, by junction 4, near Liverpool. The car had been travelling eastbound towards Manchester, before the incident caused it to cross the central reservation and land on its roof.

The road was closed off with the fire service and paramedics at the scene. It was later confirmed the driver of the black Toyota only sustained minor injuries.
