Many motorists will have a favoured brand of car and one which they will buy again and again. But it can pay to take advice on the make of car you buy and this is especially true if you are not sure about which to choose.
With costs for drivers on the rise thanks to Vehicle Excise Duty, fuel and insurance payments, it makes sense to look for a model of car which is less likely to cost you when it comes to repairs.
And experienced mechanic Sergei Savchak, Mechanical Engineer and Co-Founder of Need Car Help, has said that, when it comes to used cars, the most reliable brand on the market is Toyota.
He said their older vehicles are also the best for value and said he is often tempted to buy one himself. Speaking to the Spanish news service La Vanguardia, he said: "Customers who do their homework have found Toyotas from between 2007 and 2012 [are the best value]."Generally speaking, they are good cars with meticulous owners and are well-priced.
