Car bursts into flames on Edinburgh City Bypass as cops race to scene

Emergency services raced to a busy Scots road after a motor became engulfed in flames. Fire crews rushed to a report of a car on fire at Sheriffhall on the Edinburgh City Bypass at 1.13pm on Sunday, December 12.

Two fire engines were called to the scene as cops also attended to divert traffic, reports Edinburgh Live. Dramatic pictures show smoke pouring from the inferno after the motor became engulfed in flames on Sunday afternoon.The road was shut down westbound and one lane travelling eastbound was also closed while the incident was cleared.
