Karla Camila Cabello Estrabao (born March 3, 1997) is a Cuban-American singer, songwriter, and actress.
She rose to prominence as a member of the girl group Fifth Harmony, formed on The X Factor (U.S.) in 2012, signing a joint record deal with Syco Music and Epic Records.
While a part of Fifth Harmony, Cabello began to establish herself as a solo artist with the release of the collaborations "I Know What You Did Last Summer" with Shawn Mendes, and "Bad Things" with Machine Gun Kelly, the latter reaching number four on the Billboard Hot 100.
Production of the upcoming live-action Cinderella has been postponed. The movie, starring Camila Cabello as the titular role, has been put on hold for the next two weeks amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Crew members were sent home from the project over the weekend, Deadline reports. Cinderella has been filming for the last two weeks in England.
Despite the production halt, the film’s production company, Pinewood Studios, is still operating. “The Pinewood Group is continuing to follow guidance set out by the government, and the studios remain fully operational,” they said in a statement. Camila stars in the film alongside Billy Porter, Pierce Brosnan, Minnie Driver, and Nicholas Galitzine.
