The American defender has been out of action with a knee injury and has not featured for the Hoops on either of their pre-season trips to Portugal or Japan.
But the Scottish Sun claim 'Carter-Vickers was put through a solid week of training with the Hoops B squad and is now expected to rejoin Rodgers’ men' when they resume training on Wednesday.
It is also stated that the Celtic boss 'is unlikely to take any risks with the influential defender' and that 'the signs are positive that Carter-Vickers will be ready to feature in the early weeks of the season.' Record Sport revealed earlier this month that Rodgers could have the USA international back in the side ahead of schedule for the Premiership kick-off against Ross County next month.
