Callum McGregor rolls out Celtic red carpet for Ange Postecoglou as he sees himself with a new role

Ange Postecoglou as the new manager was announced on Thursday. With Scott Brown now out of the picture after being unveiled as an Aberdeen player on Wednesday there's a strong sense McGregor could be lined up as his replacement for the Hoops armband.

And the midfield mainstay hinted he and experienced winger James Forrest are ready to step up to the plate to help Postecoglou ease into the role as McGregor welcomed him to Parkhead from the Scotland Euro 2020 camp.

He's excited to see what the new man has to offer in terms of ideas and fresh approaches.McGregor told the club's website: "In football there are so many approaches and styles of football, and when you meet a new manager, you’re always open to learning new things and what he sees.
