Hoops hero Nir Bitton reckons Treble-winning captain Callum McGregor epitomises Celtic.And he has backed McGregor to become the club’s most decorated player after he penned a five-year contract extension with the champions which will keep him at the club until 2028.
Bitton can see McGregor, a product of the club’s youth academy, going on to be a Celt for life after committing his long-term future to the club.
The 30-year-old has already played 420 times for Celtic since making his goalscoring debut in July 2014, in a Champions League qualifier against KR Reykjavik.
And he’s closing in on a place in the Hoops’ top-10 all-time appearance list.He has also won an incredible 20 major honours, including five domestic clean sweeps, and is just five trophies behind the silverware haul of legendary Lisbon Lion Bobby Lennox.
