Callum Davidson has ruled himself out of a return to St Johnstone to succeed Tommy Wright.The door is now open for current assistant Alec Cleland to take over from the Northern Irishman, who stepped down at the weekend.Wright, 56, led Saints to the Scottish Cup for the first time in 2014 in a successful seven year spell at McDiarmid Park.But rows with chairman Steve Brown, particularly over their January transfer strategy, saw him walk away with two years left on his contract.Davidson, 43, spent five years as number two to Wright from 2013 and was also a fan favourite over two spells with the club he joined from school.The former Scotland full-back is currently assistant to Gary Rowett at Millwall and does not want to give up a post he only
