ok.co.ukCall the Midwife’s Olly Rix has welcomed an adorable new family member, amid rumours he is dating co-star Helen George. The star recently left the BBC show, after his character Matthew packed up and left for New York leaving behind his on-screen wife Trixie, played by Helen.
But he revealed he's now marking new ‘beginnings’ as he shared snaps of his new puppy Nellie. The actor posted a snap of the pooch planting a kiss on his nose as he captioned the heart-warming image: “Endings and beginnings.Today is day one with Nellie." It comes as Olly sparked rumours that he is dating Helen with the pair recently spotted looking cosy on a pub lunch outing.
The duo were spotted arriving and departing in a taxi as they put on an affectionate display, which included a stroll with Helen's dog before settling into the pub in Kensington, conveniently close to Olly's residence.The BBC stars were accompanied by Helen's best friend Ryan Speakman, as they enjoyed a double date at a pub, tucking in to a traditional Sunday roast.
Season 13, episode seven of Call the Midwife saw Rix's character Matthew move to New York without his wife Trixie, played by Helen, to take up a business opportunity.
