Call the Midwife fans furious as beloved show taken off BBC: 'Sunday evening ruined'

Call The Midwife is taking a break and fans are not happy.The BBC One drama, which is airs on Sunday evenings, will not be showing this weekend because of the BAFTA Film Awards.

However a spokesperson confirmed that the hit show will be back the following week, as usual. Posting the news on social media, the Call The Midwife page said: "Did you get the message?

Call The Midwife won't be on this Sunday because of the BAFTA Film Awards, but we'll be back next week at the usual time!" Despite the series returning in a week, viewers are not happy and have claimed that their Sunday evenings have been ruined.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, one fan said: "Well that’s Sunday evening viewing ruined." Another added: "That's ruined my Sunday night.
