CAA’s Chuck James Departs To Launch Management Company

deadline.comEXCLUSIVE: Veteran talent agent Chuck James is leaving CAA. He will be launching Ascend Artist Representation, a talent management and production company.
Partnership details about the new company will be announced at a later date. James began his career at ICM. He then moved to Gersh, where he was promoted to partner.
James subsequently returned to ICM in 2008 and was named partner in the first wave of promotions after the agency’s 2012 management buyout.
Following CAA’s 2022 acquisition of ICM Partners, James moved to CAA as an agent in the Motion Picture Talent department. His clients have included Regina King, Megan Fox, and Daniel Roseberry (Creative Director for Schiaparelli), and The Tennis Channel.
