House hunters looking to buy in Greater Manchester can now expect to pay around £236,876 for a home, according to Rightmove's latest average house price data.
Just like the rest of the UK, property prices in the region have shot up over the last couple of years as buyer demand continues to outweigh supply.
As of July 2022, house prices in Greater Manchester are now 17% higher than they were in 2019, when prices peaked at £203,277.
Across the region's 10 boroughs, there are some affordable areas such as Bolton and Wigan where £236,876 will stretch quite far, but in others such as Trafford and Stockport, you might not get as much bang for your buck.
