Continuing their run of revamped versions of old hits, Busted have released a new recording of ‘Year 3000’ featuring none other than the Jonas Brothers.
As you will no doubt remember, the Jonas Brothers released their own version of the song back in 2007, with which they scored their first US top 40 hit.“’Year 3000’ has been such a big part of [our] journey for the last 20 years”, say Busted. “The love that this song has just keeps growing, with the fans that were with us from the beginning and now a new generation.
We were THRILLED when the Jonas Brothers gave it a whole new lease of life over in the States back in 2007, so we are excited to share this new 2.0 version with them in 2023!”The collaboration also sees the Jonas Brothers singing the original version of the song, rather than the sanitised version of the lyrics that featured in their cover.
So, great news if you’ve ever longed to hear the US band sing about fine great great great granddaughters and triple breasted women. It’s not the first time the two groups have teamed up to perform the song.
