Patrick Frater Asia Bureau Chief Korean thriller film “A Girl With Closed Eyes,” which will have a market launch at the Toronto International Film Festival, before world premiering in October’s Busan festival, has secured a world sales representative in Finecut.
The company is also representing “By the Stream,” the latest project by Korean auteur Hong Sangsoo, which premiered in Locarno earlier this month, where it won the best performance award, and will next play in the Centrepiece section in Toronto.
Finecut’s Korean horror-thriller “Noise” recently premiered at the Sitges fantasy festival and has a market screening at Toronto Industry Select. “A Girl With Closed Eyes” follows a murder suspect and a detective with a shared past.
The two women are reunited through the murder of a bestselling author and uncover hidden truths as the investigation deepens.
