Buniann fancied to earn his corn at Newcastle

BUNIANN should put his best foot forward to lift the Betway Casino Handicap (6.15) at Newcastle. Paul Midgley’s six-year-old is well suited by Gosforth Park’s five furlongs - his record over this evening’s course and distance is three wins, two seconds and a third from seven visits.

The silver medal came on his most recent start, when beaten a nose by the Bryan Smart-trained Debawtry. The third home, Fashion Advice, won next time out and, despite a 2lb nudge up the handicap, Kevin Stott’s mount is taken to go one better for a fourth victory at the track.

Newcastle’s concluding Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap (8.15) is a good opportunity for ROCKLEY POINT, who chased home Fashion Advice 13 days ago, to get back to winning ways.
