Germany are primed to become the first of the big leagues to come out of coronavirus crisis cold storage after Angela Merkel green lighted a return as soon as May 15.
The German Chancellor had been expected to delay plans for a restart but moved this afternoon to lift restrictions after the top flight was suspended along with all other major leagues in Europe in March, according to Bild.
Now big guns including Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Rangers ' Europa League opponents Bayer Leverkusen are set to resume play - behind closed doors - in the coming fortnight with nine matchdays still to be played.
