Bruno Fernandes has lifted the lid on the criticism he faced from his father after he missed a penalty in Manchester United's clash with Newcastle last month.
Midfielder Fernandes has a fearsome reputation from 12 yards and had converted all of his penalties for United ahead of the trip to St James' Park.
But with the teams level at 1-1, the Portugual star saw his spot kick saved by Karl Darlow just before the hour mark. Fernandes went on to make amends for the miss by putting United ahead in the 86th minute, before grabbing an added-time assist as the Red Devils ran out 4-1 winners thanks to a late flurry of goals.
