Bruno Fernandes laughs off criticism of Manchester United's defence this season

Bruno Fernandes has posted a message on social media that looks to have laughed off criticism of Manchester United's defence.

The Portuguese star uploaded a picture of himself alongside Manchester United defensive duo Raphael Varane and Eric Bailly. The two central defenders have recently returned from their respective injury troubles with the Ivorian picking up a knock on international duty.

Varane was absent for the win over Brighton after suffering a stomach issue but provided a welcome boost for Ralf Rangnick's side as he was pictured in training on Thursday.

Fernandes posted a picture between the two defenders on Instagram with the caption: "Feeling very safe between these two [laughing face]." United's defenders have been criticised at times this season but it seems Fernandes feels like he's in safe hands alongside his teammates.
