Bruce Springsteen has heard Jeremy Allen White sing in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me from Nowhere – and he approves.Directed by Scott Cooper and adapted from a 2023 book, Deliver Me From Nowhere will see White portray ‘80s-era Springsteen, with the film chronicling the recording of his 1982 album ‘Nebraska’.When asked earlier this year if he would be singing in the film, The Bear star said he was “gonna try”.
Well, it appears his efforts have impressed Springsteen himself, as well as the rest of the cast, which includes Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, and Stephen Graham.“He sings very well,” Springsteen told Jim Rotolo in a new Sirius XM interview. “It’s a tremendous cast of people.
They cast the film beautifully, so it’s very exciting.”The Boss added: “Jeremy is such a terrific actor that you just fall right into it.
He’s got an interpretation of me that I think the fans will deeply recognise and he’s just done a great job, so I’ve had a lot of fun being on the set when I can get there.”Back in November, Springsteen stopped by the set of the upcoming biopic to visit White during filming. The legendary musician and The Bear actor were photographed together alongside director Scott Cooper while shooting a scene in a car dealership in Bayonne, New Jersey.White and Springsteen were seen hugging and sharing a smile, as well as taking a look at some classic cars.
