Broughty Ferry Beach wins top Keep Scotland Beautiful award

Broughty Ferry Beach has been recognised as one of the best in the country. Environmental charity Keep Scotland Beautiful announced it as a Scotland’s Beach Award winner this week.

It joins over 50 beaches across the country to be recognised with the prestigious accolade. This year the organisation is celebrating 30 years since the first two beaches in Scotland received awards – Gullane Bents in East Lothian and St Andrews West Sands in Fife.Scotland’s Beach Award celebrates well managed beaches and acts as a benchmark for local environmental quality.This year a total of 53 beaches have achieved the accolade – from Shetland to the Scottish Borders.Fife retains its title as the region with the most awards, home to 15 winning beaches while East Lothian and Aberdeenshire both have eight award beaches.DundeeLive brings you the latest headlines from Dundee and beyond.But did you know you all the ways you can stay informed with us?You can get our top stories sent straight to your inbox with our daily news updates.
