He would often host DIY events for his album releases, self-produce his work and even ship out orders himself in order to create a more personal experience between him and his fans.He issued all of his solo albums through his own label, Iron Works, which was also the name of his debut record.
He most recently released the album ‘The Thief Next To Jesus’ in August. Prior to going solo, he was a member of the group Natural Elements and was also in a group called Nightbreed.Ka first became transfixed with rap music at the age of six, when he heard a song play on the radio.
He recalled to Impose: “I knew as a child this was for me—I was chosen for it. It was my music.”Following the news of his death, several rappers and musicians have paid tribute to the late Brooklyn hero.
