Brooke Vincent on playdates with Helen Flanagan’s children and advice on marrying a footballer

Brooke Vincent has been getting parenting advice from her former on-screen sister Helen Flanagan. The former Coronation Street star said the pair had struggled to get many playdates in with their expanding broods, but had been bonding over the "chaos" of having children with the same small age gap.

Brooke's two sons with footballer fiance Kean Bryan are Mexx, who is three in November, and Monroe, 16 months. Helen's three children with her footballer fiance Scott Sinclair are Matilda, six, Delilah, three and Charlie, one.

Brooke said: "I speak to Helen a lot. It’s hard to get playdates in with the kids but that’s essentially trying to get five kids to be present at the same time. "She lives 40 to 50 minutes away from me.

We’ve had a couple of playdates but I speak to her all the time. We talk about parenting and kids being chaos. Her kids have the same age gap as mine.There’s a lot of resemblance, and Scott [Sinclair] plays football, so it’s very much like we’re in the same boat." Brooke announced her engagement to Kean in April via Instagram, sharing a video of drawings of her family’s hands – with the image of her hand labelled as “Mrs Bryan to-be”.
