Broken down vehicle leads to A737 delays

A broken down vehicle on the A737 between Howwood and Lochwinnoch has caused delays for motorists this afternoon.It was reported as being stranded on the busy road around 1pm.Traffic Scotland say that the northbound carriage is currently restricted as a result of the incident. Police are on the scene and recovery of the vehicle is being arranged.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.10pm on Wednesday, 20 July, 2022, we were made aware of a broken down vehicle on the A737 near Lochwinnoch."Recovery was arranged."It comes on top of disruption near Howwood being reported earlier today as a result of roadworks being conducted along the A737.At 11.55am today Traffic Scotland were advising that traffic was taking ten minutes to pass through the roadworks either side.Road users travelling along the road in the last hour have been reporting that the wait time is double that being reported by Traffic Scotland.Download the FREE Renfrewshire Live app now for all the latest news, features and sport in your area.
