Broadway Production Of Sanaz Toossi’s ‘English’ To Feature Acclaimed Original Off Broadway Cast

deadline.comEnglish, the upcoming Broadway production of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Sanaz Toossi, will feature the original Off Broadway world premiere cast, including Tala Ashe, Ava Lalezarzadeh, Pooya Mohseni, Marjan Neshat and Hadi Tabbal.
The casting announcement was made today by Roundabout Theatre Company. The play, as previously announced, will be directed by Knud Adams.
English begins previews on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Roundabout’s Todd Haimes Theatre, with an official opening on Thursday, January 23.
The limited engagement will play for 66 performances only through Sunday, March 2. The synopsis: “The comedy unfolds in an Iranian classroom where adult English learners practice for their proficiency exam.
