Broadway Besties Lea Michele & Jonathan Groff Support Audra McDonald at Star-Studded 'Gypsy' Opening Night

Broadway besties Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff were among the celebs who led the star-studded red carpet at opening night on Thursday (December 19) at the Majestic Theatre in New York City. Lea and Jonathan met while working together on the 2006 Broadway show Spring Awakening and have been best friends ever since.
For those who don’t know, Lea worked with Audra when she was a child, playing the little girl in the original production of Ragtime back in 1998. Audra is currently starring alongside Danny Burstein and Joy Woods in the new production of Gypsy, which is playing at the newly reopened Majestic Theatre.
The theatre has been dark since The Phantom of the Opera closed back in April 2023. Gypsy is getting rave reviews and tickets are on sale now.
