A man was rushed to hospital this afternoon following a serious assault in Paisley.Emergency services raced to the scene around 1.40pm with the area closed off to members of the public.A large police cordon remains in place at Caledonia Street this evening following the attack with Albion Street and Macdowall Street also affected.There was a large police presence and a tent has been erected.
Forensics officers could be seen in the area searching for clues to what happened while uniformed officers stood guard. A source, who wished to remain anonymous, told the Paisley Daily Express: “It was the sirens that got my attention.
They were so loud and they went on for ages.“The whole street is taped off right down Albion Street, right down Caledonia Street.
