The UK has just enjoyed its hottest day of the year so far with scorching temperatures reaching highs of 34.8C - and there’s more on the way.
On Monday, Cambridge recorded temperatures that reached almost 40 degrees. And already sun-seekers have turned their attention towards the upcoming forecasts to see when the scorching temperatures will return - and there's not long to wait.
New weather maps shared by WXcharts have revealed a huge spike in temperatures in Iberia towards the end of the week, with temperatures in European hotspots such as Lisbon and Seville climbing in excess of 40 degrees by Friday 16 August.
