Brits can now start booking a summer holiday for 2021, Matt Hancock has suggested. The Health Secretary said there was “high confidence” the UK will drop many of the restrictions that applied this year.
But he admitted he’s booked a holiday in the UK - rather than planning to go abroad. Mr Hancock added lockdown rules will remain for months to come, telling MPs ”help is on the way and the end is in sight" but "let's not blow it now" Despite Mr Hancock’s comments, it’s not yet clear where Brits will be able to go if they want to head overseas, as the UK is the first nation to roll out a mass vaccination programme.
