Britney Spears has said that she is “scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake” that might jeopardise moves to end her conservatorship, as preparations begin to terminate the legal arrangement that has allowed others to control her personal and financial affairs for thirteen years.
She also says that she is “disgusted” by the US legal system that kept her under the guardianship for so long.“I’ve waited so long to be free from the situation I’m in and now that it’s here I’m scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake”, she says in a new Instagram post. “For so many years I was always told if I succeeded at things, [the conservatorship] could end and it never did.
