Britney Spears Reflects on Touring & the Performance Where She 'Actually Felt Like a Star'

Britney Spears opened up about the challenges of life on the road in a candid new post on social media. The 41-year-old “Toxic” pop star hopped on Instagram to share a since-deleted post that highlighted an ABC special that aired in 2003 to promote her album In The Zone.

She referred to it as “a time where I actually felt like a star.” She explained how that performance differed from anything she had done prior while highlighting all of the things that made going on tour very difficult, especially while she was under her conservatorship. I was told by someone who directed movies that the music industry is a different beast … especially touring,” Britney started the caption to the post. “It’s fun at first but if you’ve done it for a while, being in a different city constantly gets pretty draining !!!” She continued, writing, “Well … as I looked back at my career and I realized the one thing that I did that required the least effort … like at all … was my favorite thing I have ever done !!!

3 days of rehearsal, 1 day of dress rehearsal and performing just 5 songs, shot to a T on a TV set !!!
