Britney Spears officially asks for father’s control over her personal life and finances to end

evoke.ieBritney Spears has been living with a conservatorship for over 13 years now, something which the #FreeBritney movement is dead set on rectifying.
The conservatorship means that Britney has no control of her finances or other basic aspects of her life including her personal life, even down to who can visit her.
The singer’s father, Jamie Spears, has been in charge of the conservatorship for all these years, however, more recently, he was temporarily removed from managing her personal affairs due to health reasons in 2019.
As part of this, Jodi Montgomery, a care professional, stepped in to replace Jamie Spears on what was due to be a temporary basis, but Britney now wants to make this change permanent.
