Britney Spears' new lawyer vowed to move quickly and "aggressively" to end the her dad's role in the conservatorship that has ruled her life for over a decade.
The singer's attorney, Mathew Rosengart, spoke outside of the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon and said: "My firm and I are moving aggressively and expeditiously to file a petition to remove Jamie Spears unless he resigns first." Rosengart, who was granted the ability to represent the 39-year-old last week, also thanked Britney "for her courage and strength" and her fans for their support.
His comments were met by cheers from an onlooking group of the singer's followers who had gathered outside once again with Free Britney signs.
