After all the anticipation, the experience was somewhat sobering. It was just so, so sad. Afterwards I was left with an unshakeable feeling that Britney is owed a massive apology, from basically everyone.
We have all contributed to the heartbreaking position she is currently in. So many events from the past that are completely unacceptable today are defended with the phrase “it was a different time.” Maybe in some cases that is even true.
