Britney Spears ' ex-husband Jason Alexander turned out to support her by attending the #FreeBritney rally in Los Angeles yesterday as she as fights her conservatorship.

The pop superstar, 38, is challenging the court order which puts her dad Jamie in charge of her affairs and has been in place since her highly-public breakdown in 2008.

She is being supported by the #FreeBritney movement and many followers gathered outside the courthouse in downtown LA yesterday.

Jason - who married Britney in Las Vegas in 2004 - was among them and he spoke out in support of his ex. In a video published online, he insisted Britney deserves to be given more freedom.
