Britney Spears has enlisted the help of an army of A-list stars who are so desperate to free her from her conservatorship they want to set up a fighting fund, it has been claimed.

The pop princess is currently seeking to end the arrangement that has governed her life and finances since 2008. Her father Jamie was granted control over her affairs by court order in 13 years ago.

It was given after the singer was put in hospital amid concerns over her mental health, and it has been extended for more than a decade since.

In recent days it has emerged that Britney's request to have her father removed from the conservatorship had been denied, causing an outcry among her fans.
