A British cabin crew member is being held in a notorious Dubai prison after police raided her date's apartment. They found two cannabis joints in the room and arrested Derrin Crawford on the spot.

The frightened woman works for Emirates airlines and was held at a police station in the UAE. The 23-year-old, from Liverpool, was held for several days before being transferred to the notorious Al Barsha prison.

Officers reportedly agreed to let her go if she tested negative for drugs. She is said to have passed the test on Thursday but is still being held.

Her date is known to be a marketing executive from London. The pair met on a night out in the city. Her sister Danielle has spoken and says she doesn't smoke or touch drugs of any kind.
