Britain’s Got Talent contestant Nick Edwards said his unexpected audition for the ITV talent show gave him the confidence to return to performing after 11 years.
Doting dad Nick had a shock as his adorable daughters Savannah and Cali, aged three and four, were brought on stage by his mother Tracey in a bid to convince him to sing in public again in the first episode of the new series on Saturday night.
And it worked as the 36-year-old, who was completely in the dark about the set up, has been given his confidence back after performing in front of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams.
Nick told the PA news agency he believed he was going for a day out with his wife without the children after his sister-in-law surprised the couple with free tickets to Britain’s Got Talent.
