Britain’s Got Talent fans have taken to Twitter to query why former judge David Walliams is no longer on the judging panel. The author and comedian had been a part of the panel, alongside Amanda Holden, Simon Cowell and Alesha Dixon, but has been replaced by former Strictly judge Bruno Tonioli for the 2023 season. “Where is David Walliams??!” one asked on the social media platform.
While another added: “What! Where is David? And who is Bruno?” Walliams hit headlines last year after "inappropriate" remarks he had made about contestants came to light.
In November, it was reported that Walliams referred to one Britain's Got Talent contestant as a "c**t" and said about another, "she thinks you want to f**k her, but you don't", during breaks in filming Britain's Got Talent's 2020 season.
He later apologised for the remarks and called them “disrespectful." In a statement, he said: "I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain's Got Talent in 2020. "These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared.
