Britain's Got Talent star Pippa Langhorne was left distraught after her pooch Buddy - who appeared on the talent show with her - was hit by a van.

Pippa - who reached the semi-finals with Buddy back in 2011 - said the pooch was injured on July 13 during a family walk. She's set up a GoFundMe account to raise money for her beloved dog after the ordeal as she revealed how she cancelled his pet insurance prior to the crash, thinking she wouldn't need it.

Pippa initially set her fundraising bar on GoFundMe at £1,200, but has now raised it to £5,000 after receiving news that Buddy will require a hip operation.

Speaking to PA news agency about the terrifying ordeal, 29-year-old Pippa said: "With lockdown and coronavirus, all my work's dried up. "
