An Ayr videography company have scooped the ultimate prize for their services to the wedding industry. Ultimate Moments, owned by husband and wife duo Derek and Maureen Sweeney from Doonfoot, picked up the top prize of Britain’s Best Wedding Videographers at the Great British Wedding Awards.Their award win comes hot off the heels of the small family run firm being hailed the Best Wedding Film Makers in Scotland at the Your Scottish Wedding Awards in November last year.Derek said: “We were the only videography company from Scotland to reach the finals, which in itself was a great achievement and were up against another nine companies from all over the UK, so we didn’t think for a moment that our small business from Ayr would win in such a tough category.“We have won two of the top wedding awards in the last few months - it really doesn’t get any better than that."We just want to say a huge thank you to all our wonderful clients that put us forward and voted for us in both awards.“We wouldn’t be where we are today without them and their continued support.”Maureen said: “As the results started coming in we got more and more nervous, then I heard a huge cheer from Derek as the result was announced.“To be recognised as the top wedding videographers in the UK really does mean so much.“We love our job with an absolute passion and love capturing so many special and priceless moments that our couples get to relive over and over again for decades to come.”Ultimate Moments have a chance of making it a hat trick of wins, as they are also nominated for the 2023 Confetti Awards which take place on January 30 in Glasgow, which is also Maureen’s birthday. The Ayrshire Live app is available to download now.Get all the local news in your
