mum who went in to premature labour while in America, has been left with a £75,000 medical bill. Amy Collins was due to fly home on December 13, but two days before her flight she had to have an emergency c-section at just 24 weeks pregnant.
Her tiny son William was born prematurely weighing just 1lb 9oz when he was born in Texas on December 11 where he remains in hospital receiving specialist care.
The 30-year-old, of Birmingham, had no medical insurance she has been slapped with the huge bill. William’s gran Sarah Covey, 48 BirminghamLive she is 'scared to death' for her grandson and daughter and said the bill keeps growing and could end up being 'hundreds of thousands of pounds'.
