direct to your inboxA British man is facing jail in Singapore for breaking quarantine to visit his wife.The British citizen pleaded guilty to violating a coronavirus quarantine order by leaving his room at the hotel he was staying in.Skea Nigel left his room, without wearing a mask, at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore hotel on three occasions in September, according to the charge sheets.On one occasion, he climbed an emergency stairwell and went into the room that his Singaporean fiancee was staying in, where he stayed for nine hours.The pair are now facing up to six years in jail and a fine of around £5,500 for each charge when they are sentenced in court on February 26.Nigel arrived at the State Courts on Monday with his now wife.
